Members of the public Laptop battery can not sell even afraid to throw a dilemma

Recently, this reporter visited China Tianhe City Square and a number of mobile phone sales store in the random access of the 10-odd members of the public, no one knows mobile phone batteries should go to which body waste recycling. A just bought a new phone of people told reporters that his old cell phone had already sold out, but the old fujitsu battery is Retention. He has to ask whether some small shops selling batteries, the answer will be: “can not make money, do not.” Nobody wants to sell they want to lose fear of polluting. Even members of the public waste mobile phones and batteries to make toys for the children.

The reporter asked the cell phone store sales staff, most of the sales staff have expressed their own shops do not waste battery recycling is also not clear if any departments are managing the issue. Only in China Square, a four-layer a well-known cell phone manufacturer’s customer service center, the reporter was in the customer lounge, a corner to find a recycling box. At that time, apart from a phone box outside the fujifilm np-100 battery , fujifilm np-120 battery is that many of the paper. To the staff, the box placed in a long time, basically no one noticed, but no one puts inside the battery discharge.

Sanitation Bureau in April last year, after the mobile phone battery is no longer received the

Is there a departmental recycling of waste batteries do? In May 2004, Guangzhou major media have published a message: Guangzhou sanitation department will be responsible for the collection of used cell phone batteries, this first of its kind to open in the nation. However, reporter yesterday that the move has been terminated last year. Guangzhou City Environmental Sanitation Bureau of Sanitation Director bowron Army, told reporters before the sanitation department did send someone to collect mobile phone waste batteries, but in April last year, after no further work in this area. The reason is, according to last year, April 1 implementation of the “The People’s Republic of China Solid Waste Pollution Prevention Law,” such as mobile phone fujifilm np-140 battery , fujifilm np-30 battery should be of solid waste environmental protection department supervision and management, only the garbage was handled by the sanitation department. “Mobile phone battery recycling, treatment and the corresponding Environmental Protection Agency should be responsible for publicity.” Bowron army says.

Asked if some people do not understand the relevant circumstances, to mobile phone dell Vostro 1710 battery , dell Vostro 1720 battery, together with the garbage thrown into the trash, sanitation sector will be how to deal with. Bowron military reluctantly said that the current sanitation workers are not trained to handle hazardous waste training, it is impossible in several tons of garbage to pick up cell phone batteries, “had to compress together with the garbage.”

EPA e-waste treatment center can only be processed after the establishment of dell Vostro 2510 battery

Then interviewed the city’s Environmental Protection Bureau, the Bureau of Solid Waste Management Center Division is responsible for oversight told this writer that “mobile phone battery recycling, processing by the Environmental Protection Agency is responsible for” this argument is accurate, EPA Solid Waste Management Center is the oversight of certain enterprises to carry out solid waste collection, disposal, transportation, processing, but not personally send someone to engage in related work. Mobile phone battery recycling and disposal considerable technical difficulties, the cost is quite high, “At present, it is basically a ‘vacuum’, Guangzhou, there is no enterprise specializing in mobile phone Vostro A840 battery, Vostro 1700 battery recycling, even if the extracts useful material, relative to their cost in terms of is still not cost-effective. ”

The official also disclosed that at present the construction of Baiyun District in Guangzhou are hazardous waste landfill, while also exploring the establishment of e-waste processing center; in these two tasks have been completed, it will be discarded e-waste processing center phone battery collection, processing and re-use, while the battery did not take advantage of some of the value of hazardous waste landfill will be sent to landfill. It is learned that the cost of landfill for waste disposal landfill site than the average several times higher, can use technical means to ensure the Studio 1555 battery, Precision M40 battery does not pollute the land after the landfill is expected to put into use next year.

New MacBooks and Mac Pros are announced (update)

Already for weeks is rumored that Apple would miss the MacBooks yet another update. An advertisement on an Australian internet has given new impetus to these rumors, could be seen in the past but have often such a development.

The advertising was previously often faster than the actual product performance. Now it shows the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air prices from 1899 and 2399 Australian dollars. This is so far new that that the current starting price for both models in 1599, respectively 1999 Australian dollars. The most likely guesses are right on the hand and show that the new Core family of Intel code-named “Arrandale” withdrawal will be maintained in the MacBooks. Moreover, the question arises whether Nvidia graphics still finds a use. Thanks to the new ion could keep this as discrete graphics solution including Optimus technology in the MacBook feeder. The actual type GeForce 9400 chipset is no longer suitable with the new Intel architecture for use.

Third model of advertising is the new Mac Pro, scheduled for launch from 4499 Australian dollars. This would be a price increase by 900 Australian dollars. In the run has already been suggested that the Intel Core i7-980x or one of his colleagues will find new servers with four or six seeds to a place.

Since advertising in the past, quickly followed by deeds, is expected in the coming days with an official launch to be expected.

Update 13:58 Clock:

Further confirmations come from the Pacific region, more precisely, from New Zealand. There, too, increased prices for the new MacBooks and Mac Pro have surfaced. A price increase seems to materialize because of updated equipment. For the Mac Pro to apply even an eight-core model. Since this processor, codenamed “Nehalem-EX” yet to be unveiled in late March, is the introduction of the new Macs in the coming days remains an option. Last year Apple was dashed three weeks before the official start of the first Nehalem server CPUs ahead and had himself seen at Intel for mild depression.

Laptop battery using tips

Filed under: Apple Laptop Battery — Tags: — admin @ 12:23 am

Should we remove the battery when the laptop powered by Household Electricity?

Do not remove the laptop battery when using the AC adapter. If your area have no steady voltage or electricity, a sudden power failure happend when you at work, the work you have done lost and the machine may also burn motherboards without the battery protect.

Notice when charging

Usually used when the Apple A1078 battery discharges to 10% of charge can be carried out, do not discharge to 0% every time before charging. In general the battery will be fully charged in 2-3 hours with machine shutdown , 4-5 hours with machine using. IBM’s notebook can not charge at 95% , COMPAQ laptop in about 90% before charging, this is designed to avoid the repeated charge and discharge damage to laptop. Requests depth of discharge once a month : discharge to 5% of the time , shut down the machine to re-charge. “Note – Do not let the Apple A1079 Battery completely discharged”. Remove the battery if do not use battery for a long time, please charge the battery to 50% before store.

Why do laptop batteries consumed when laptop turned off and cut off the power supply?

please see the following reasons:

1. The computer shut down, the laptop battery will provide power for RTC functions.

2. The power switch is not only the power line switch, but also the management control of power supply switch, the signal sent to the power switch function.

That is, the management of the power supply controller connecting the iBook G4 14 Battery and power adapter has been a state power, so electricity consumption.

Micro-computer circuit to run, even send a message will consume battery power.

VAIO batteries, not just the battery, but also added to monitor the battery status (Apple PowerBook G4 12 inch Battery remaining capacity and charge and discharge current value, the temperature of the battery group, etc.) built-in micro-computer, and at regular intervals Send a signal to the computer functions.

Therefore, loading the battery in the computer will definitely consume electricity, even put out there will be a natural addition to discharge outside the electricity consumption. Thus, even cut off the power supply, battery consumption is normal.

when I unplug the laptop battery need to config the BIOS at first time

Filed under: Dell Laptop Battery — Tags: — admin @ 3:06 am

I’m using it without any  battery now. When I left work I switched it off, and now I’m back home. when I booted it up I didn’t need to configure the BIOS again. I think I only need to config the BIOS only the first time when I unplug the laptop  battery.

when I remove the laptop battery it resets in case I screw something while overclocking it, because the BIOS has a dedicated section for overclockingActually, no. Not any more. It’s got to the point where it barely holds half an hour’s charge! As soon as it gets to 10%, it shuts me down. I can’t be bothered to cycle it up and down, because I’ll never use the battery(1691P, 3R305, 8N544). I just keep it in there, and use the power lead all the time.

I think it’s healthiest just to charge it fully, then let it discharge, then when you get the warning, charge it up to full again, and keep doing that all the time. I don’t. though, because I don’t really take my laptop anywhere.

the problem of this seems to be because my USB ports remain on even when I switch off my laptop. I’ve got no idea how I can switch them off when my laptop is switched off (aside from unplugging the laptop), But it has 3 downsides for me:

1. Seems like it’s draining my laptop  battery (even if not peripherals are attached)

2. My External HDD Remains switched on and running (I can hear it)

3. My laptop cooler stays on (which I can hear during the night)

So I have to unplug everything after I switch off Any ideas on how I can disable that? Or any idea what this stupid ‘technology’ is called.. maybe I can make some research about it and perhaps find a way to disable it?

I searched the BIOS, but there are no settings for that. Some laptops (though mostly desktops) continue to power the USB ports even after shutting down. This is so that the computer can be quickly woken up if need be in response to a USB device, and so that peripherals can be charged.

The battery of my HP notebook computer is in trouble

The battery of my HP notebook computer is in trouble ,the hp ac adapter can’t charge my laptop battery.Fired off an email to HP with exact description. Tried a few other diagnostic tricks like removing the battery(75UYF, U4873, 6Y270) and trying to start up on the ac adapter (no go obviously) so I could tell HP what I did.I sure hope it’s the adapter and not the laptop. I don’t want to send it back.my video games are on it.

Until  I turned the laptop on. The laptop flickered less than a second and died, as did the light on the AC adapter. Throughout all this, as long as the laptop is off, the light on the laptop indicating it is plugged in stays on (until I turn it on of course). HP says to update the bios (that ain’t happenin’ until I get DSL.did I mention I just moved to middle of nowhere America?), but that I will most likely have to take the laptop in for servicing. I’ll see when the new adapter comes and I can rule it out.

HP’s response to every complaint is to flash the BIOS. That’s not gonna do a thing.Do you have a multimeter? If so, measure the tip voltage of the adapter. Hopefully it is lower than it is supposed to be. It’s possible but not likely that the adapters voltage is too low to run the laptop, but high enough to trickle charge the laptop battery.

And the funniest thing is that the BIOS updater proggy doesn’t let you flash the BIOS unless you are running off external power. I need to whip out the multi-meter when I have a moment of rest.HP support also likes to butter people up. “Ralf” is constantly saying how wonderful it is to be working with such a knowledgable customer. Little does she know.

The Replacement AC adapter seems to have fixed the problem. It’s been a good day. Besides that, the DSL got installed and I had a job interview. OMG my mother-in-law just made cookies! I hope I snuff it right now in order to preserve this moment forever!when I get around to it, I think I’ll check the old one with the multi-meter and give a full report.

Know your Li-ion Laptop Battery

* A typical lithium-ion laptop battery provides approximately 300-500 discharge / charge cycles.

* Avoid frequent full discharges because this puts additional strain on the battery. Several partial discharges with frequent recharges are better for lithium-ion than one deep one. Recharging a partially charged lithium-ion does not cause harm because there is no memory. Short battery life in a laptop is mainly caused by heat rather than charge / discharge patterns.

* Although lithium-ion is memory-free in terms of performance deterioration, batteries with fuel gauges exhibit what engineers refer to as “digital memory”. Here is the reason: Short discharges with subsequent recharges do not provide the periodic calibration needed to synchronize the fuel gauge with the battery’s state-of-charge. A deliberate full discharge and recharge every 30 charges corrects this problem. Letting the battery run down to the cut-off point in the equipment will do this. If ignored, the fuel gauge will become increasingly less accurate.

* The worst environmental condition for a lithium-ion P5413, C1295 , D5318 battery is keeping a fully charged battery at elevated temperatures, which is the case with running laptop batteries. If used on main power, the battery inside a laptop will only last for 12-18 months. The pack does not die suddenly but begins with reduced run-times.

* Avoid keeping the battery at full charge and high temperature. This is the case when placing a spare battery in a hot car. Running a laptop computer on the mains has a similar temperature problem. While the battery is kept fully charged, the inside temperature during operation rises to 45°C (113°F).

* Removing the A1079 battery from the laptop when running on fixed power protects the battery from heat. With the concern of the battery overheating and causing fire, it is advised to eject the battery of affected laptops and to run the machines on a power cord. It should be noted that on a power outage, unsaved work will be lost.

* If removed from the laptop, store the battery in a cool place at about a 40% state-of-charge. Some reserve charge is needed to keep the battery and its protection circuit operational during prolonged storage.

* Should the laptop be disconnected from the main when not in use? Under normal circumstances, it should not matter with lithium-ion. Once the battery is fully charged, no further charge is applied. However, there is always the concern of malfunction of the Laptop AC adapter, the laptop or the battery.

* Avoid purchasing spare lithium-ion batteries for later use. Observe manufacturing dates. Do not buy old stock, even if sold at clearance prices.

* If you have a spare lithium-ion P5413 , A1061 battery, use one to the fullest and keep the other cool by placing it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze the battery. For best results, store the battery at 40% state-of-charge.

Above is the best knowledge for understanding our laptop batteries, and make your laptop batteries(A1078) are used much more longer.
